Objective

The objective of the Canon Foundation in Europe is the promotion of science, culture, know-how and mutual understanding between Europe and Japan.

This aim should be reached by annually providing up to 15 Canon Foundation Research Fellowships to postgraduate students and researchers. Europeans receive the Fellowship for long term periods of research in Japan and, similarly, Japanese to undertake research in Europe.

ANBI

The Canon Foundation has ANBI (Algemeen nut beogende instelling) or Public Benefit status, meaning that the Foundation is registered as a charitable organisation and as such is exempt from tax.

DONATIONS

We have sufficient funds to fulfill our objective which is granting Research Fellowships to European and Japanese nationals. Our goal is not fundraising.

The Foundation does not and will not actively request donations. However, we are open to people who wish to donate to the Foundation so please click [here] for our guidelines.
